Unquote Private Equity Podcast: Ravenous for recurring revenue
The Unquote Private Equity Podcast is back to its regular format this week, with the team looking at PE's appetite for recurring revenue models and discussing the topic with Searchlight Capital Partners founding partner Oliver Haarmann.
As the pandemic took hold in 2020, private equity managers shifted their focus away from making new investments and instead sought to buffer their portfolio from Covid's economic impacts. However, for those businesses with recurring revenues, there was considerably less damage to manage.
On this episode of the podcast, Katharine Hidalgo hosts Unquote reporter Harriet Matthews to examine the importance of recurring revenues – what they are, how businesses can adapt to attain them, and their effects on valuations. We also speak to Searchlight Capital Partners' founding partner, Oliver Haarmann, to get his take on the business model.
