GE Commercial Finance reorganises
GE Commercial Finance (GECF) has centralised its specialist finance vehicle for private equity firms under a newly formed group, GE Global Sponsor Finance (GSF). GSF will utilise the resources of GE Merchant Banking, GE Structured Finance Sponsor Group, GE Commercial Equipment Finance Sponsor Group and Healthcare Financial Services Sponsor Sales. GE describes GSF's mandate as providing single point coverage to private equity firms in order to simplify access to GE's finance products. Mike Neal, CEO of GE's commercial finance unit, said the decision to launch a sponsor-specific operation was based on client demand. Stuart Aronson will lead GE Global Sponsor Finance.
