The dynamics that saw European deal doing grind to a halt are mercifully less prevalent in South Africa. For example while back lending has been scaled back a tick or so, there has not been the mass exodus of leverage from the market. And vendors, until recently loathe to meet buyers on pricing in Europe, have been more amenable to deal doing in South Africa.
