Register for the Growth Equity virtual event

Tune in to listen to leading industry participants as they discuss the outlook for growth equity on Thursday 22 April at 2pm BST.
The tech ecosystem in Europe is no longer in its infancy and as the market begins to mature and reach the growth stage with companies increasingly raising later-stage rounds, there are definite opportunities for GPs looking to deploy the huge amounts of dry powder that still remain and to diversify into additional strategies such as growth.
For many LPs, their allocation to both venture capital and growth equity has been modest. But although the European buyout market has seen successful returns, it is now seeing an over-supply of capital that, alongside a high-leverage approach to maintain these returns, may put off some investors.
Early-stage venture capital is attracting greater interest but is also a more volatile market. Growth equity, which focuses on companies at a more mature stage in their lifecycle, can provide great opportunities with significantly lower operational risk.
Speakers will include:
• Michael Treskow – partner, Eight Roads Ventures
• Bjarne Kveim Lie – co-founder, managing partner & chief investment officer, Verdane
• Sunaina Sinha – managing partner, Cebile Capital
• Tom Whelan – partner, McDermott Will & Emery
