
Triton hires new CFO
Private equity house Triton has appointed Matthew Couch as its new chief financial officer, starting in December.
Couch was previously CFO for the London Stock Exchange Group's Post Trade division, having been with the group for more than 11 years. Couch held two leadership positions – group head of business finance and performance, and LCH Group CFO – between 2017 and 2019.
Prior to this, Couch held positions at KPMG UK and KMPG Sweden in transactions services. While in Stockholm, he spent two years on the transaction advisory management team, where he focused on growing the company's private equity franchise in the Nordic region. Couch started his career at BDO as an audit executive.
Triton is currently investing from a number of funds, including Triton V, which closed on EUR 5.2bn in 2018; Triton Debt Opportunities II, which closed above target on EUR 744m in 2020; and Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund II, which closed above target on EUR 815m in 2021.
