
FRANCE - AXA PE ups stake in Carbone Lorraine
AXA Private Equity has increased its holding in listed electrical and materials company Carbone Lorraine from 10.5% to 11.43%.
Carbone Lorraine is comprised of three divisions: advanced materials and technologies, which provides graphite and other high-performance materials for industrial applications; electrical applications, which manufactures and supplies a range of products for electrical motors; and electrical protection, which produces a variety of industrial fuses and other equipment designed to protect against voltage surges. The company conducts 85% of is business outside France and recorded a turnover of €694m in 2007.
The share value gives the company a stock market value of €540m.
