UK - Finance Wales invests £200,000 in cell preservation company

The deal was sourced through the a Memorandum of Understanding between the firm and fellow investors Biofusion, which outlines a strategy for co-investment in opportunities arising from Biofusions exclusive IP pipeline agreement with Cardiff University. The funds will be used towards the R&D and commercialisation of Abcellute's new cell preservation matrix, which enables cells to stay fresh for up to seven days while being transported to pharmaceutical companies.

This is the second investment resulting from the MoU, the first being a joint investment of £250,000 in Q-Chip last month.
