Carlyle closes European CLO on €450m
The Carlyle Group has closed its latest European collateralised loan obligation (CLO) fund on €450m.
The fund is the fifth European CLO raised by the firm in less than two years. It brings the total amount raised by Carlyle through such vehicles to €1.9bn since the market reopened in early 2013.
Carlyle's CLOs form part of its global market strategies platform, which includes mezzanine and energy mezzanine loans; high-yield and structured credit; distressed equity; and debt and hedge funds.
In July, Carlyle and Cardinal Capital Group closed the Carlyle Cardinal Ireland Fund, a mid-market-focused vehicle, on €292m.
