NORWAY - Investinor invests NOK 17.5m in OCAS for 9.6% stake
Norwegian state-owned venture fund Investinor has participiated in a share issue for Obstacle Collision Avoidance System (OCAS), investing NOK 17.5m for a 9.6% stake. Other investors include BKK, Follum Invest, Grande Ventures, START-Fondet, Teknoinvest and Viking Venture.
The company was founded by two pilots in 2000, and received seed funding from START Fondet the same year. A second round funding was completed in 2005 securing NOK 30m from START Fondet, Teknoinvest and Viking Venture.
Today the company has sold 85 systems of which 46 are in operation. Estimates suggest the market for OCAS' products are 200,000.
