UK - Oxford Capital Partners leads £1.58m investment in Green Biologics
Oxford Capital Partners has led a ТЃ1.58m funding round in Green Biologics, a specialist developer of 'next generation' biofuels.
The financing was supported with contributions from Carbon Trust Investments as well as from existing shareholders. The capital will be used to fund a scaled-up, pilot demonstration of its new fermentation process for bio-butanol, which uses new high temperature molecular biological techniques and targets waste feedstocks. It is therefore more sustainable and environmentally friendly, as well as having the potential to generate a two to three fold reduction in costs.
