Advent appoints consumer goods operational partner
Advent International has named John Sheppard as the newest partner to join the firmтs Operating Partner Program. He will advise on global investment opportunities in the consumer sector, with a particular focus on branded and private label consumer goods as well as the food and beverage sectors.
Sheppard worked with Coca-Cola for nearly 20 years where he held a number of senior positions, including president of Coca-Cola's European division and vice president, Coca-Cola International.
Most recently, Sheppard was executive partner at Emigrant Capital, where he oversaw the firm's investments in Forward Foods, Robeks Juice, Jolt Energy, Zola Açai and Boylan Beverages. From 2002 to 2006 Sheppard worked with Cott Corporation, the largest private label carbonated soft drink manufacturer in North America with over $1.5bn in revenue, where he held several senior positions, including president and CEO, leading the operational turnaround of the company.
