UK - Finance Wales invests £315,000 into Ocelus
Finance Wales has invested £315,000 in drug company Ocelus as part of a second funding round worth close to £500,000.
Finance Wales' investment comes alongside a £147,000 grant from the Welsh Assembly government.
Newport-based Ocelus is developing an alternative to drug delivery treatment through needles for medical purposes.
The new funding will allow the company to advance its prototypes and optimise its technology for commercialisation. The business is also about to move into new laboratory premises in Newport as part of its expansion.
Finance Wales invested £50,000 into the company in 2008.
