GERMANY – Burda Digital Ventures invests in Tripsbytips.com
Burda Digital Ventures has acquired a minority stake in German online community Tripsbytips.com. The transaction value has not been disclosed.
Based in Berlin, Tripsbytips.com is a German language community for the exchange of experience between travel enthusiasts. Transparency is created by travel tips, hotel evaluations, restaurant critiques, travel diaries and travel pictures, which are published by members, and this offers inspiration for other travellers. Tripsbytips.com went online in May 2007 with 20,000 articles and pictures. The company was founded in June 2006 by Uwe Frers and Boris Wertz and has 10 employees.
