UK - OCP backs Teepix with £800,000 investment
Oxford Capital Partners (OCP) has invested £800,000 from its Oxford Gateway Funds into Teepix, a technology which automatically captures golfers' action shots.
Teepix utilises a patented trigger system that recognises the sound of a golfer teeing off, instantly activating discrete cameras which capture the ball just miliseconds after impact. The resulting picture is then automatically transferred to the company's editing computers in Bedford before being made available for purchase both on the Teepix website and at a dedicated terminal in the resort clubhouse.
The technology is already operational in two resorts in Florida, with two a month being added across the US over the next six months. This latest investment will allow for a roll-out of the technology to around 100 resorts globally over the next three years.
