DENMARK - Vækstfonden leads DKK 16m funding round for PhotoSolar

Taastrup-based PhotoSolar spun out of The Danish Technological Institute (Teknologisk Insitut) in 2003. It has developed a glass facade product with transparent photovoltaic modules that provide shading and convert solar overheating in buildings into solar power. The products have been tested and are now ready for commercialisation.

The recent capital infusion will fund the creation of a sales organisation as well as mass production of the product MicroShade.
