SPAIN - New technology leads demand for seed capital
Around 40% of projects landing Spanish seed investment originate from the so-called "new technology" sector.
Barcelona-based BCN Business Angels intends to launch a EUR 100m fund in 2008 to finance larger investments than the average angel funding. The investors will support businesses via direct funding, as well as through the creation of a web-based platform, intended to work as a dealflow generator for smaller rounds by private investors.
