FINLAND - Empower Oy buys Daxtrum Oy
3i backed, Empower Oy, a service provider in the energy, telecom and industrial sector, has acquired a 90% stake in Daxtum Oy, a service provider for telecom operators in Finland. The management of 6 people will retain the remaining 10% of the shares. The operational volume of the combined Empower’s telecommunications business and Daxtum’s operations totals EUR 50m and 550 people in 25 locations.
In 2004, 3i together with Nordea Capital acquired the entire shareholding of Empower from Pohjolan (PVO) Voima Group’s Powest Oy and Vattenfall Oy, for EUR 24m.
