GERMANY - Apollo to invest in Infineon
Reports suggest that US-based Apollo Management is close to completing an investment of close to EUR 725m in lised chipmaker Infineon, in return for a 29% stake in the company.
Based in Munich, Infineon Technologies designs, develops, manufactures and markets semiconductors. The group operates in Europe, Asia and North America. It is headquartered in Munich, Germany and employs over 43,000 people. In 2007, the group reported EUR 7.6bn in revenues, a 3.1% decrease 2006.
