UK - Oxford Technology et al. invest £1.3m in DMD
A consortium comprising Oxford Technology Management, YFM, the ERA Foundation and two private investors, has invested more than ТЃ1m in diamond super-materials supplier Diamond Microwave Devices.
DMD is a subsidiary of Luxembourg-based the Element Six Group, a supplier of industrial diamond super-materials. DMD's diamond transistor technology enables the move to low cost, lightweight, solid-state amplifiers in high power, high frequency applications such as radar, communications, Satcoms and electronic warfare.
The company is based in Leeds and was founded in 2006.
