GERMANY - Waterland closes A-Rosa Deal
Waterland Private Equity has closed the management buyout of river cruise operator A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH.
Based in Rostock, A-ROSA currently owns six ships and plans to increase its fleet by two ships, one each in 2009 and 2010. The company operates on 10 routes on the Danube and five routes on the Rhone, the new ships will operate on routes along the Rhine. Founded in 2002, the company has offices in Rostock, Germany and Switzerland, a staff of 350 and achieved a turnover of €45m in 2008.
