UK - Apax loses stake in Streetbroadcast
Apax Partners has reportedly lost its stake in UK advertising company Streetbroadcast after it was bought out of administration by restructuring firm Redbus.
Apax and Consensus Business Group acquired the company in 2003 for an undisclosed sum. In 2004, Apax increased its stake by an additional £3m alongside Consensus.
Founded in 2001, Streetbroadcast sells advertising space for big-format illuminated posters on specially engineered lamposts across the UK. It was reported that 20 of 29 staff were made redundant during the administration process.
