UK - SEP et al. provide VirtenSys with $12m series-B funding
Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) and other existing investors Celtic House Venture Partners and GIMV have participated in a $12m series-B funding round for VirtenSys Ltd. The same syndicate of investors first provided the company with a series-A $12m investment in November 2006. VirtenSys is an I/O virtualisation solutions provider. This is a crucial new technology that enables organisations to optimise the data centres in their IT infrastructure, to improve performance and reduce total cost of ownership. The investment will be used to expand its market, to grow its operations in the UK and the US, and, shortly, to launch its products and begin revenue generation.
