UK - Low Carbon Accelerator makes £320,000 investment into QuantaSol
Low Carbon Accelerator Ltd has announced a ТЃ320,000 investment into solar enegry firm QuantaSol Ltd, taking its equity stake in the company to 25.6%.
The company will provide solar photovoltaic cells for use in concentrating photvoltaic systems used in the fast growing utility-scale solar power generation market. The funds will be used to produce prototypes of the its new cells and to continue product development, as well as to engage with potential customers.
Low Carbon Accelerator first backed the company with a £480,000 investment in June 2007 as part of a £1.35m seed funding round, which it co-led with Imperial Innovations.
