Europe/US - Peter Schweinfurth launches Gulf + Eastern Advisors firm

The company provides corporate restructuring and turnaround advisory services, as well as M&A advice. It will also assist businesses in raising debt and equity financing, arranging management buyouts and other PE transactions, using its own and third-party funds.

Gulf + Eastern will specialise in advising small and medium sized companies in the consumer products and services sectors. The firm will initially begin with a small team of private equity professionals in the US and Europe, looking to expand rapidly over the course of the year.

Prior to founding the firm, Schweinfurth was a senior executive at Avenue Capital in New York and London, where he dealt with private investments in the US and Europe.
