UK - NorthStar leads £850,000 round for WorkCast
NorthStar Equity Investors (NSEI) has led a ТЃ850,000 funding round for online webcasting company The WorkCast Corporation.
WorkCast's webcasting platform, Webcast Manager, allows users to create, edit and distribute effective business webcasts from one solution. Customers can produce webcasts and webinars by recording a variety of elements such as web meetings, PowerPoint presentations, webcams and video conferences. The entire recording, including audio, can then be utilized as a webcast that can be integrated into standard business processes and communications. WorkCast is based at the E-volve Buisness Centre at Rainton Bridge and was founded in 2008.
The new funding will be used to support the business' development of its webcasting technology, as well as to boost sales and marketing.
NSEI invested £60,000 of seed funding for the company earlier this year.
