SPAIN - Inveready and La Caixa back AQsense
Venture investors Inveready and La Caixa Capital Risc have invested a EUR 300,000 as part of a EUR 500,000 funding round for visual systems start-up AQsense, taking a 30% stake in the business.
The management retains a 52% stake in the business, with the CEO (Ramón Pallí) holding the remaining 18%.
AQsense was founded by researchers from Universitat de Girona (UdG) and is led by Josep Fores, a specialist in 3D artificial vision, and business angel Ramón Pallí, who has experience in multinationals such as Nalco and Bayer. The products designed by the company are aimed at on integrated visual systems for engineering firms, manufacturers of machinery or commercial software distributors.
