NETHERLANDS - LSP in EUR 2m round for Kreatech Diagnostics

Based in Amsterdam, Kreatech Diagnostics is a molecular diagnostics company focused on the development and commercialisation of DNA probes and nucleic acid labelling technologies that are utilised for diagnostics and research applications in the life sciences and healthcare industry, specifically cytogenetics, molecular pathology, and microarrays.

A first round of funding was completed in 1998 when Residex committed EUR 1.4m, with LSP and Alafi Capital joining Residex in EUR 6.5 follow-on round. In 2003, 3i led a consortium of investors, including LSP and Alafi Capital, providing a total of EUR 6m to support the expansion of the company.

The recent funding round sees the company appoint Kees Moonen as CEO and Daan Ellens from LSP as chairman of the supervisory board.
