Breaking the mould on multiples data
Corporate finance boutique Clearwater International is teaming up with unquote" to launch a new series of data reports focusing on the acquisition multiples paid for European private-equity-backed buyouts.
The Multiples Heatmap, which is derived from information on several hundred qualifying deals completed since the beginning of 2014, will give an unparalleled insight into the prevailing pricing trends across Europe.
Unlike other published measures, the Heatmap will cover all size ranges, from smaller and mid-cap buyouts through to the top-end mega-deals, and will further segment the data to cover regional and sector trends. This will make it possible, for instance, to compare the pricing trends in like-for-like deals in the UK and individual continental regions.
Following the launch of this initiative, quarterly updates will be released supported by further seminars or briefing events across Europe. Over time, as the Heatmap gains momentum, it is our intention to use the statistical content and the associated events to build a community for all the professionals focusing on the European buyout market.
The Multiples Heatmap will be launched officially in London on 5 November at an evening event and networking function, hosted by Clearwater International in association with unquote".
