CEE - EI offers EUR 143m for Kofola-Hoop
Enterprise Investors (EI), through Polish Enterprise Fund (PEF VI), has made a EUR 143m offer the entire remaining share capital of Kofola-Hoop, a producer of non-alcoholic beverages listed on the Warsaw stock exchange.
The offer is being jointly made with three of the company’s current shareholders, including KSM Investment, which controls a 51% stake. If the transaction succeeds, EI will hold 43% in the company. However, EI has signed an agreement to acquire the 29.43% stake in the business owned by the founders of Hoop SA, which therefore makes this the minimum threshold at which PEF VI will finalise the share acquisition.
The tender price represents a 48% premium over the current stock market price.
