
FRANCE - Crocus technology attracts EUR 13.5m on first round
Sofinnova ventures, Ventech, CDC Entreprises Innovation, AGF Private Equity, Sofinnova Partners and NanoDimension participated in the EUR13.5m round of financing.
Crocus Technology was founded in 2004 to commercialise the MRAM technology developed at the Commissariat de l'Energie Atomique (CEA) and the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). MRAM (or Magnetic Random Access Memories) has numerous applications for mobile phones, PDAs, MP3 players, laptop computers and RFID tags. The Grenoble-based company currently employs eight people and will recruit an additional 12 by the end of 2006.
