UK - MSIF invests £300,000 in carbon monoxide testing company

The deal was supported with a debt package provided by Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank. MSIF sourced the deal through their subsidary Liverpool Ventures, designed to help start-up businesses reach a satisfactory investment standard.

The company has developed a method for testing the sensors on carbon monoxide detectors; current testing buttons only test the alarm. The potential market for the product is lucrative, with 6 million detectors in the UK and 80 million in the US. Around 50 people a year in the UK die from carbon monoxide poisoning.
