KKR appoints European head of special situations
KKR has appointed Mubashir Mukadam as its European head of special situations.
Based in London, Mukadam will focus on the secondary purchase of distressed assets, rescue lending and structured investments across Europe.
Prior to joining KKR, he was managing director at York Capital Management, a €14bn hedge fund. During his time there, he grew the fund's European distressed-debt platform, expanding the scope of its investments and trading relationships. He has also held positions at Deutsche Bank.
In addition to the appointment, KKR's co-head of special situations, Nat Zilkha, has relocated to London. KKR says the move underlines its commitment to growing its special situations strategy globally.
