
Freshfields appoints joint sector group leader of financial institutions group

Law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has appointed Andrew Hart as joint sector group leader of its global financial institutions group (FIG).
Hart has been a lawyer at Freshfields since 1996 and a partner for the past 13 years. He previously co-headed the firm's financial institutions disputes group in London. Hart will work alongside current joint FIG heads: corporate partner Gunnar Schuster and banking partner Sean Pierce.
Freshfields' FIG provides advice to financial institutions including banks, insurers, asset managers and investment funds. It advises on matters such as M&A, regulation, tax and leveraged finance.
