
UK - LCA invests second tranche of £1.2m QuantSol funding
Low Carbon Accelerator has completed the second tranche of funding for solar photovoltaic company QuantaSol, as part of a total financing round worth just under £1.2m.
QuantaSol is a developer of 3rd generation solar photovoltaic cells for use in concentrating photovoltaic systems. The second tranche of the investment was drawn down following the achievement of certain milestones. The new funding will be used to move the company out of its R&D phase and prepare for commercial development.
QuantaSol has also announced the appointment of Chris Shannon as its new CEO.
LCA has invested a total of £2.37m into the business.
