DENMARK - Vækstfonden and angels back Teklatech with DKK 5m
Danish government-backed venture fund Vækstfonden has alongside five business angels invested DKK 5m into software business Teklatech. Vækstfonden contributed half of the total deal value.
Teklatech was founded in 2006 with financial support from DTU Innovation (The Technical University of Denmark). The business received DKK 8m in funding from SEED Capital and Ulrik Danne-skiold-Samsøe Holding. In the spring of 2008 the business grew to employ eight people, but following the financial crisis, was forced to reduce the number staff to four in early 2009, when clients postponed orders for Teklatech's product FloorDirector.
The current investors were introduced to Teklatech in February 2009, and the transaction closed end of May.
