UK - Biffa banks sell down debt
The banks that financed the buyout of Biffa in April 2008 have completed the syndication of ТЃ1bn of debt.
The institutions involved are Bank of Scotland Corporate, Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland and the investment banking arm of Barclays. The syndication, which included a £700m tranche of senior debt and a £300m mezzanine tranche, is being touted by some as a sign that the credit markets are coming back to life.
