GERMANY - Hasso Plattner Ventures invests in family networking site

Hasso Plattner Ventures has provided OSN GmbH, the company behind family networking site verwandt.de, with a second round of funding. This marks the investor’s largest investment to date. Existing investor, Neuhaus Partners, also participated in this second round. Verwandt.de is a fast-growing family network platform that stores online family trees for hobby geneology, and family social networking. Since the platform’s launch six months ago, more than 1.4 million families have registered their family trees at verwandt.de, which contains more than 16 million individual profiles.
