High-Tech Gründerfonds GmbH & Co. KG and other investors invested in kinkaa Search Tools GmbH. The company is based in Frankfurt and Palo Alta, Silicon Valley, and operates kinkaa.de, an Internet meta search engine specialised on travels. The search engine enables consumers to neutrally compare prices for touristic offers published in the German-speaking Internet. It accesses about 200 websites of flight operators, hotel chains, car rental copmpanies, and travel providers. Founded in 2006, kinkaa is the largest provider in this segment.
