NORWAY - Proventure and Investinor back NOK 30m Numascale funding
Norwegian government-backed venture fund Investinor and seed investor Proventure have participated in a NOK 30m investment round for Norwegian semiconductor business Numascale.
Numascale, which spun out of Dolphin Interconnect Solutions ASA in July last year, has developed a technology aimed at integrating existing intellectual property in semiconductors. The NumaChip differentiates from other high-speed interconnect technologies in that it has shared memory and cache coherency mechanisms, which allow programs to access any memory location and any memory mapped I/O device in a multiprocessor system.
