UK - The Capital Fund invests £250,000 to support Plasticell
The Capital Fund, managed by YFM Venture Finance Ltd, has made an investment of ТЃ250,000 into Plasticell, a company that is developing innovative stem cell and drug screening products.
The funding follows on from a recent investment of £440,000 from the company's existing shareholders and a £1.1m grant from the Department for Trade and Industry's Technology Programme in January. Plasticell, which holds intellectual property rights for two complementary systems in the fields of stem cell research and regenerative medicine, intends to use the new capital to continue ongoing product development.
