UK - Scottish and Southern Energy invests £2.7m InSource Energy

SSE will also invest up to a further £10m to support the company's projects as it enters its next phase of development. InSource was created by Carbon Trust Enterprises, a subsidiary of the Carbon Trust, to develop the commercial waste-to-energy market in the UK. The Company will offer tailored, on-site solutions for food and drink manufacturers through the provision of technologies such as biomass boilers and combined heat and power units; which act to reduce waste and energy costs and save carbon.
