UK - Atlas and Novartis invest into Bicycle Therapeutics
Atlas Venture and Novartis Venture Fund have invested an undisclosed amount of seed funding into biotherapeutics start-up Bicycle Therapeutics.
Bicycle is a spin out from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge. The company combines the most desirable features of small molecules and biologics to create highly specific and stable drugs. Its technology platform is based on the work of founding scientists Sir Gregory Winter and Dr Christian Heinis.
As part of the investment, Dr Regina Hodits of Atlas and Dr Anja Koenig of Novartis will represent the investors on Bicycle's board.
