DENMARK - Vækstfonden injects DKK 10m into SHARK

SHARK has developed a way of separating the laminating agent in automobile windshields, which prevents the glass from splintering if the windshield breaks. The PVB (polyvinyl butyral) that is removed from the glass can then be sold and reused in laminated glass. The two technologies are patented and SHARK expects to generate revenues from the sale of machines that separate the glass to car breakers and to glass recycling companies, as well as from the running of industrial plants that cleanse the PVB.

The new capital will finance a doubling of production, including the construction of new factories. The current production plant is situated in Western New Zealand, while the company is headquartered in Svinninge, Denmark.
