RUSSIA – PGP completes reorganisation; hires eight
Russian law firm Pepeliaev, Goltsblat & Partners (PGP) has completed a reorganisation and hired eight new professionals, after several of its lawyers left to join UK law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP earlier this year.
The commercial dispute resolution practice will be managed by Denis Bykov, while the customs and foreign exchange regulation practice will be run by Anton Nikioforov. Finally, Lidia Gorshkova will head the banking practice.
The reorganisation comes after partner and co-founder of the firm Andrey Goltsblat left the business to establish a representative office in Russia for UK law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP in January this year, taking a number of PGP's corporate lawyers with him. PGP co-founder Sergey Pepeliaev remained with the firm as managing partner, and vowed to continue PGP's operations through new hires and reinforcing its corporate law services.
PGP currently employs more than 150 attorneys in its two offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
