
Schroder fund holds EUR200m first close
Schroders and SVG Advisers Ltd have reached the first close of Schroder Private Equity Fund of Funds IV (SPEFOFIV) on EUR200m. The portfolio will consist of approximately 20 private equity funds in the US and Europe, with a focus on later stage/buyout funds. Commitments have already been made to seven funds, totalling more than EUR95m. Like its predecessor funds, SPEFOF IV has been structured to meet the requirements of both small and large institutions, as well as high-net-worth individuals, and will be listed on the Irish Stock Exchange. It is expected that SPEFOF IV will hold a final closing by the end of the first quarter of 2008.
