UK - Bridges leads £1m round for Call Britannia
Bridges Ventures, via its Social Entrepeneurs Fund, has led a ТЃ1m investment in customer contact centre business Call Britannia, alongside Big Issue Invest, management and the government's Future Jobs Fund.
The investment is Bridges' first from its Social Entrepreneurs Fund.
Call Britannia is an outsource customer contact centre. Basing itself in some of the UK's most economically-challenges areas, Call Britannia aims to provide sustainable employment for the long-term unemployed.
The company aims to open ten contact centres across the UK over the next seven years, giving 10,000 staff a minimum of six months employment, equipping them with skills, accredited training, support and work experience. Following this incubation period, Call Britannia will work with graduates to help them find work.
