ITALY - Private equity courts Tiscali
Market sources suggest that a number of private equity firms, including BC Partners, Permira, Apax, CVC and Investitori Associati, have shown interest in Tiscali.
The pan-European groups did not comment on the rumor circulating at the Italian Stock Exchange. Investitori, however, has apparently denied any concrete dealings with the internet business, although it has looked at the dossier. Earlier this week, the private equity firm has denied interest in buying Alitalia and also in selling its directory business Seat Pagine Gialle.
