
SPAIN - European Capital opens Madrid office
European Capital has opened an office in Madrid to concentrate on mezzanine deals in the Iberian market. The office will be run by Luis Felipe Castellanos, BNP Paribas' former managing director and head of leveraged finance in Spain and Portugal . The Madrid office is the fourth European Capital office, in addition to London , Paris and Frankfurt , which was recently opened in April 2007. The four offices combined have approximately 90 employees. Set up in August 2005, the team has already invested EUR 2.3bn across 58 companies.
