
Gradient leads $7m series-A for TypingDNA
Gradient Ventures, Google's AI-focused fund, has led a $7m series-A for TypingDNA, a Romania-based developer of typing biometrics technology.
The round also saw participation from GapMinder Ventures and Techstars Ventures, as well as other existing backers. GapMinder invested $1.2m as part of the round.
The fresh capital will be used to expand the company's developer support network and enable integration with existing website development platforms.
Previous funding
In 2016, Gecad Ventures led an undisclosed funding round for TypingDNA. Angel investors also participated in the round.
This was followed by a $1.5m seed round in 2018, with the funding provided by GapMinder, Gecad, Techstars NYC, and private investors, including founders of companies such as UiPath and DataDog.

TypingDNA is a behavioural biometrics company developing technology to recognise people by the way they type. Founded in 2016 in Oradea, the company opened its main office in New York in 2018.
