Enterprise acquires 3S from PCC in €22m deal
Enterprise Investors has acquired a 76% stake in Polish telecommunications company 3S from German financial investor PCC, in a deal valuing the business at €22m.
The company's founders will retain a minority stake in 3S after partially exiting through the transaction.
Under Enterprise’s tenure, the business expects to make bolt-on acquisitions, expand its fibre optic network and invest in its data centres.
Capital for the transaction was drawn from Polish Enterprise Fund VII, the mid-market vehicle that held a final close on €314m in May 2013. The following year, the fund invested €10.5m in the construction of a radiotherapy centre in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.
The sale of 3S forms part of PCC’s strategy to divest its non-core assets and is subject to anti-monopoly clearance.

Founded in 2002, 3S provides fibre-optic infrastructure, data transmission, internet access and telephone services to telecommunications businesses across southern Poland. The company has 1,300 clients and operates from a data centre in Katowice.
